More great Knott's pics....thank you! Do you happen to know how long they used the Igloo for Santa? I almost want to say I remember visiting him there as a very small child, but it would have had to have been the early 1970's. Boy, Santa got moved around a lot at Knott's over the years. During the time I worked there, he was in the cabin out on Grand Ave. one year, in Jeffries Barn a few times, and one year (1983) he was out by the Volcano in sort of a "Gypsy" Wagon. I always wondered if that wagon went back to the days of the old Gypsy Camp.
The igloo lasted till 1977 then they gave him the cabin and then started moveing santa around. He was in Jeffries Barn then they move hin to the old Barn in Ghost Town then to the stage in Ghost Town. and now he is back in the barn in bhost ton,
Wow...thanks for the info! So my vague memory of the igloo must be accurate. I wonder what they did with the cabin? I remember them telling us they had gotten it as a build-your-own cabin "kit."
